The offering of the Honicel Modular House Panel System based on the eco-friendly Honipack Board System.
Roughly speaking since 75 years, Honicel is a pioneer in R&D of eco-friendly material saving and production- as well as processing technology development in Honicel- honeycomb as well as Honicel-honeycomb based composite materials.
The honeycomb structure is a unique light-weight and high-strength structure. Inspired by the hexagonal honeycomb structure constructed by bees in nature, creatively explored and developed by Honicel® for countless types of industry worldwide. The honeycomb structure is the most efficient structure on earth, as it is using the absolute minimum amount of (raw) materials to create the maximum structural strength. This extremely effective and efficient rule of nature, has become the DNA of Honicel. Minimize the use of (raw) materials to create the most optimal / efficient honeycomb based products / solutions.
There is worldwide an urgent need and requirement for very easy to handle and assemble prefab House Panel Systems based on eco-friendly lightweight material.
Inspired by the most effective and efficient “construction structure” in nature, created by the bees, a group of leading product specialists from all over the world, in cooperation with the R & D Team of Honicel, have developed a Modular House Panel System. The very basic of the Modular Housing Panel System is the Honipack Board, based on 100 % FSC recycled paper. By combining eco-friendly and bio-based preserving material, the original characteristics of the Honipack Boards are eco-friendly, fundamentally changed, becoming perfect suitable for the durable Honicel Modular House Panel System.
Our Goal is to develop a durable & sustainable eco-friendly, bio-based Modular House Panel System that will be suitable for all weather circumstances and geographical areas. Due to that the to develop Honicel Modular House Panel System requires to fulfil the following functional requirements:
During the G20 Summit of November 2022, being organised by the Indonesian Government, Honicel was invited to present the Honicel Modular House Panel System. A scale model of the (low cost) housing system was then presented. Click on the image below and see the video film.
The basic Honicel Modular House Panel is the self-supporting Honipack Boards as the “constructive core” of the building respectively house etc., it offers maximum flexibility. Meaning, the basic Honicel Modular House Panels can be installed as they are, in basic supplied as Honipack Prefab Modular House Panels.
But the Honicel Modular House Panel System offers also the opportunity to decorate or to plaster the surface in order to offer you a finishing up to your liking. And last but not least, the Honicel Modular House Panel System can be finished with the Honicel Ceramic Panel System, the HCP for a unique high end finishing.
Apart from a continuous optimizing process of the Honicel Modular House Panel System, the development team is in addition to this in process to offer a “Total Housing Solution”.
